Event Details
Join TCSO for a program featuring SLSO’s assistant principal first violinist, Erin Schreiber, playing Pablo de Sarasate’s Carmen Fantasy on themes from the beloved Bizet opera. The concert will also feature a literal parade of soloists from the SIUE Suzuki string program, and the second of our three Rising Talents winners: Eric Chen. Chen will perform selections from the fifth violin concerto by Henri Vieuxtemps, a work sometimes known as “Le GrĂ©try” thanks to quotations from that composer’s opera Lucille. Finally, the program will also feature the fiery overture from the opera Bevenuto Cellini by Hector Berlioz.
Thanks to the generous support of our musicians, our donors, our sponsors, the Missouri Arts Council, and the Regional Arts Commission of St. Louis we are able to make our concerts free. If you would like to become one of our supporters you can learn more here. Thank you! Seating is open and no tickets are required
