Event Details
Join TCSO as we perform Tchaikovsky’s Second Symphony; a symphony written on Ukranian folk themes in a city to which he had a deep personal connection. Also featured are movements from two dramatically different violin concerti performed by two of our Rising Talents medalists: Jean Park playing the rhapsodic finale from Henryk Wienawski’s second violin concerto, and Asher Koh playing the darkly beautiful allegro from Prokofiev’s second. Rounding out the program will be a TCSO premiere from award winning St. Louis composer Stephanie Berg: Ravish and Mayhem. Berg’s work has been featured by ensembles ranging from the St. Louis Symphony to New York’s Alarm Will Sound.
Thanks to the generous support of our musicians, our donors, our sponsors, the Regional Arts Commission of St. Louis, and the Missouri Arts Council we are able to make our concerts free. If you would like to become one of our supporters you can learn more here. Thank you! Seating is open and no tickets are required.
